L'invention se rapporte à des polyméthylgalacturonases appartenant à la famille 28 des lyases polysaccharidiques et comportant la séquence d'acides aminés de SEQ ID NO:1 ou une séquence d'acides aminés présentant une similitude d'au moins 70% avec la séquence SEQ ID NO:1. Ces polyméthylgalacturonases présentent de bonnes caractéristiques de performance dans les processus industriels du type blanchissage et traitement de textiles.
