An extracorporeal blood circuit, comprising an expansion chamber for air-blood separation, wherein a filter (38) retains the solid particles in the blood. The filter has a trunco-conical filtering wall with a vertical axis surmounted by a top head (43) provided with upper openings (44) conformed and arranged such as to define a fluid passage which is asymmetrical with respect to the vertical axis. The top head does not retain air bubbles internally thereof, thus preventing a situation in which the air bubbles are directed towards an outlet of the expansion chamber and thus towards the patient. The extracorporeal circuit is used in a dialysis apparatus.

L'invention concerne un circuit sanguin extracorporel comprenant une chambre d'expansion pour une séparation air-sang, dans lequel un filtre (38) retient les particules solides dans le sang. Le filtre comporte une paroi de filtrage tronconique ayant un axe vertical surmonté par une tête supérieure (43) pourvue d'ouvertures supérieures (44) conformées et agencées de façon à définir un passage de fluide qui est asymétrique par rapport à l'axe vertical. La tête supérieure ne retient pas les bulles d'air à l'intérieur de celle-ci, empêchant ainsi une situation dans laquelle les bulles d'air sont dirigées vers une sortie de la chambre d'expansion et donc vers le patient. Le circuit extracorporel est utilisé dans un appareil de dialyse.
