Uniformly sized granules are formed using the present extruder (14) and granulation process. The extruder (14) contains a spiral worm screw (26) for guiding a granulation material to an apertured place (24). The spiral worm screw (26) is rotated within a chamber (20) and is formed from a guiding slant which terminates at a blunt edge (30) near the apertured plate (24). The blunt edge (30) rubs the granulation material against the apertured plate (24) which softens the material forming a semi-solid material. The semi-solid material is then gently pushed through the apertured plate (24) using just the required pressure. The granules are formed when the semi-solid material hardens after exiting the apertured plate (24).
Selon cette invention, des granules de taille uniforme sont formées à l'aide d'une extrudeuse (14) et d'un procédé de granulation. Cette extrudeuse (14) comprend une vis sans fin en spirale (26) servant à guider une matière à granuler vers une plaque ajourée (24). La vis sans fin en spirale (26) tourne à l'intérieur d'un compartiment (20) et se compose d'une pente de guidage qui se termine par un bord franc (30) à proximité de la plaque ajourée (24). Le bord franc (30) frotte la matière à granuler contre la plaque ajourée (24), ce qui adoucit la matière qui forme alors une matière semi-solide. Cette matière semi-solide est ensuite doucement poussée à travers la plaque ajourée (24) à l'aide uniquement de la pression requise. Les granules sont formées lorsque la matière semi-solide durcit dès sa sortie de la plaque ajourée (24).
