A washing system for cans in which interior washing nozzles (31) move in synchronization with the cans (14) and are axially centered with the cans (14) and in which a washing jet impinges directly on the interior bottom of a can and exits by flowing along the interior side wall surface of the can parallel to the centerline of the can.
