This invention is a method for accurately and quickly positioning a double lumen gastroduodenal tube (402) into predetermined locations utilizing an endoscopically placed guidewire (202) to retrieve duodenal fluid uncontaminated by gastric fluid, with little or no discomfort to the patient, and minimal radiation exposure. Specifically, an endoscope (112) is passed through a patient's esophagus and stomach (104) into the duodenum (108) such that its distal end is located at a predetermined location, such as the fourth portion of the duodenum. While the endoscope (112) is held in place, a guidewire (202) is passed through its center instrument channel to position a distal end of the guidewire (202) adjacent to the distal end of the endoscope (112). The endoscope (112) is then withdrawn from the patient, leaving the guidewire (202). A double lumen gastroduodenal tube (402) is then threaded over the guidewire (202) such that gastric ports (412) are aligned with the stomach (104) and duodenum so that upon aspiration of the gastric ports, the gastric fluid is prevented from entering the duodenum and contaminating the duodenal fluid.
Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé de positionnement précis et rapide d'un tube gastro-duodénal (402) à double lumière en des emplacements préétablis, procédé dans lequel on utilise un fil-guide (202) mis en place au moyen d'un endoscope, afin de récupérer du liquide duodénal non contaminé par du liquide gastrique, lepatient n'éprouvant ainsi que peu ou pas d'inconfort et avec une radioexposition minimale. Ledit procédé consiste spécifiquement à faire descendre un endoscope (112) au travers de l'oesophage et l'estomac (104) d'un patient jusqu'au duodénum (108), de telle sorte que l'extrémité distale dudit endoscope se trouve placée en un endroit préétabli, par exemple au niveau de la quatrième partie du duodénum. Tandis que l'on maintient en place l'endoscope (112), on passe un fil-guide (202) dans son canal instrumental central de façon à positionner une extrémité distale du fil-guide (202) à proximité de l'extrémité distale de l'endoscope (112). On retire ensuite l'endoscope (112) du corps du patient, en laissant en place le fil-guide (202). Puis, on enfile un tube gastro-duodénal à double lumière (402) sur le fil-guide (202) en s'assurant de l'alignement des orifices gastriques (412) d'une part et de l'estomac (104) et du duodénum d'autre part de manière à ce que, lors d'une aspiration des orifices gastriques, le liquide gastrique ne puisse entrer à l'intérieur du duodénum et contaminer le liquide duodénal.
