An improved noble metal-containing catalyst containing a specific ratio of silica to aluminum in the framework suitable for use in the hydroprocessing of hydrocarbonaceous feeds, which is directed at a catalyst comprising a hydrogenation-dehydrogenation component selected from the Group VIII noble metals and mixtures thereof on a mesoporous support having aluminum incorporated into its framework and an average pore diameter of 15 to less than 40~.
