The present invention provides for an improved process for recycling waste polymeric material comprising a mixture of waste polymeric material wherein the waste polymeric material includes from about 0 to 40 percent aliphatic polyamidematerial; granulating and densifying the chopped mixture into fragments at leastabout 100 times smaller than the size of the waste polymeric material; and extruding the ground mixture at a temperature that does not exceed the temperature at which the largest portion of polymer based material decomposes.

Divulgation d'un procédé amélioré pour le recyclage de déchets de matières polymères comprenant : le mélange de déchets de matières polymères, d'environ 0 à 40 % étant des polyamides aliphatiques; la granulation et la densification du mélange broyé de manière à obtenir des fragments de taille au moins environ 100 fois plus petite que celle des déchets polymères; et l'extrusion du mélange broyé à une température n'excédant pas la température à laquelle la plus grande partie des matières polymères se décomposent.
