According to the present invention a process is provided for making paper of paper board comprising forming a cellulosic suspension, flocculating the suspension, draining the suspension on a screen to form a sheet and then drying the sheet, characterised in that the suspension is flocculated using a flocculation system comprising a siliceous material and organic microparticles which have an unswollen particle diameter of less than 750 nanometers.

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication du papier ou du carton. Ce procédé consiste à former une suspension cellulosique, à assurer la floculation de la suspension, à évacuer la suspension sur un tamis pour former une feuille puis à sécher la feuille. Ce procédé se caractérise en ce que la suspension est floculée à l'aide d'un système de floculation comprenant un matériau siliceux et des microparticules organiques qui présentent un diamètre de particule non gonflé inférieur à 750 nanomètres.
