A shaft of a billiard cue has an elongated skeleton having a core and one or more ribs transversely projecting from the core and a shaft body having an axial receiving space which is complementable to said skeleton for receiving said skeleton therein. The shaft body of the shaft is preferably formed by two or more wooden sections compassing the skeleton therebetween.
