A spray nozzle comprises a fluid tip, an air cap seated on the body of the fluidtip to form a fluid tip/air cap assembly, and an annular passage between the fluid tip and the air cap. A plurality of tangentially arranged passages are angled tothe exterior of the fluid tip/air cap assembly. They extend from the exterior ofthe fluid tip/air cap assembly to the annular passage and are located in the region of the connection between the air cap and the fluid tip.
