An indicating device (100) for displaying temperature history of an object over time includes, a reservoir (40) of indicating material secured with respect to said object, the indicating material being solid below a predetermined temperature and liquid at or above this predetermined temperature; a wicking member (30) arranged with respect to the reservoir so that the indicating material is able to migrate from the reservoir through the wicking member to a peripheral portion spaced from the reservoir; and indicator means spaced from the reservoir so that migration of the indicating material to the indicator means indicates a predetermined temperature history; wherein said indicator means includes a barrier member (20) located on the wicking member and having a barrier region positioned between the reservoir and said peripheral portion of the wicking member and wherein said barrier member prevents viewing of the migration of the indicating material through the wicking member until it migrates past said barrier region of the barrier member.
L'invention concerne un indicateur (100) destiné à l'affichage de l'historique des températures d'un objet dans le temps. Cet indicateur comprend : un réservoir (40) de matière d'indication fixé audit objet, la matière d'indication étant solide en dessous d'une température prédéterminée et liquide à une température supérieure ou égale à ladite température prédéterminée ; un élément à effet de mèche (30) disposé par rapport au réservoir de façon que la matière d'indication puisse se déplacer depuis le réservoir, à travers l'élément à effet de mèche, vers une partie périphérique située à une certaine distance du réservoir ; et un moyen d'indication situé à une certaine distance du réservoir afin que le déplacement de la matière d'indication vers le moyen d'indication indique un historique des températures prédéterminé. Le moyen d'indication comprend un élément de séparation (20) situé sur l'élément à effet de mèche et comportant une zone de séparation située entre le réservoir et ladite partie périphérique de l'élément à effet de mèche. L'élément de séparation permet d'éviter que le déplacement de la matière d'indication soit visible au niveau de l'élément à effet de mèche tant que la matière d'indication n'a pas dépassé ladite zone de séparation de l'élément de séparation.
