An injection or sampling site (20; 100) adapted to receive a blunt cannula (C) includes a housing (24; 104) having an outside end (28; 108) with a passageway (30; 110) extending inwardly from the outside end (28; 108), the passageway (30; 110) defining an axial direction; and an elastomeric septum (26; 106) closely received in the passageway (30; 110) of the housing (24; 104). There is a slit (48; 128) extending through the septum (26; 106) generally in the axial direction which is formed by a hole (50; 130) through the septum (26; 106) that is flattened against itself to seal against itself when the septum (26; 106) is assembled in the housing (24; 104). Either the septum-receiving portion (32; 112) of the housing (24; 104) or the septum (26; 106) itself has a generally elliptical cross section to preferentially compress the hole (50; 130) in the septum (26; 106) to form the slit (48; 128).

La présente invention concerne un point d'injection ou de prélèvement (20, 100). La partie du réceptacle (24, 104) qui reçoit la cloison (26, 106), ou la cloison (26, 106) elle-même, est de section généralement ellipsoïdale, de préférence pour comprimer l'évidement (50, 130) ménagé dans la cloison (26, 106) afin de former la fente (48, 128).
