An ink cup for use in pad printing machines (pad printers) is disclosed as including a body for holding ink, and a number of magnets enclosed wholly within said body, in order to prevent contact between the magnets and the ink and solvent contained in the body. The body includes a first part having a number of cavities for containing the magnets, and a second part which may be secured to the first part to wholly enclose the magnets.
