The present invention relates to an optical splitter as set out in Claim 1, which is manufactured from a transparent material, in particular a polymer, that can be structured. It is the task of the present invention to describe a passive optical splitter that is simpler to manufacture. To this end, the optical splitter incorporates an input conductor (10) and a plurality of output conductors (20a, 20b) that are arranged so as to be spaced apart from the input conductor (10) such that a beam of light that is coupled into the input conductor (10) can be cross-coupled into the output conductors (20a, 20b) at a defined intensity by way of a coupler section that is of a specific length.
