A toy building set comprises a screw having a hollow body of plastics, which is externally formed with a threaded section, as well as a building element having a plastics bushing with a corresponding, internally threaded section. Either the bushing or the shank of the screw is formed with at least one slot along part of its length, said slot extending along the threaded section. The threaded sections will hereby be disengaged before being destroyed by a possible overload.
