ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Anaerobic compositions are prepared which contain polymerizable (meth)acrylate monomer(s), free radical initiators and, as a polymer- izable activator therefor, a monomeric disulfonimide having the general formula Image wherein R is hydrogen or methyl and R' is alkyl, aryl, or substituted aryl. Depending on the formulation, the compositions are useful as adhesives or sealants.
