Transceiver system including a transmitter and receiver. The transmitter transmits radiation having a varying operating frequency. It is preferred that the radiation be visible light. The operating frequency is varied in a way that eliminates visible flicker. A receiver receives the encoded radiation, decodes the coded data, and delivers the decoded data signal to an output stage. The output may be audio information, textural information or graphical information. A two level coding scheme is preferred.

La présente invention concerne un émetteur-récepteur réunissant un émetteur et un récepteur. L'émetteur émet un rayonnement à fréquence de fonctionnement variable. De préférence, le rayonnement est fait de lumière visible. La fréquence de fonctionnement est mise en variation d'une façon qui élimine le papillotement visible. En l'occurrence, un récepteur reçoit le rayonnement porteur de code, décode les données codées, et remet à un étage de sortie le signal de données décodé. La sortie peut constituer de l'information audio, de l'information texturale ou de l'information graphique. On a recours de préférence à une logique de codage à deux niveaux.
