APPLICATION FOR UNITED STATES LETTERS PATENT IMPROVEMENTS IN ANALOG RECORDING ON MAGNETIC MEDIA ABSTRACT A system for recording analog information on a magnetic, medium in which the record bias is dynamically varied in response to the amplitude in a predetermined frequency spectrum of the information to be recorded. The record amplifier gain and equalization may be simultaneously dynamically varied as the record bias in order to maintain a record/playback response relatively invariant with respect to changes in the bias level.
