An offset for an A/D converter circuit is determined as a difference between the average output of the circuit and the sum of an average input analogsignal entering the circuit and an average input bias voltage entering the circuit. Once determined, the offset may be subtracted from each of the data values that is output by the circuit. The offset may instead be used to adjust the bias voltage of input signals to the circuit.
