Abstract of the Disclosure Improvements in a digital echo canceller utilizing pseudo-logarithmic coding are disclosed which reduce the com- plexity and cost while improving the performance of the echo canceller. Specifically, there is disclosed a first and a second embodiment of an improved pseudo-rms to dc converter which employs two full-wave rectifiers, an inverter, phase shift means, summer means, low pass filter means and peak detector means.
