An analysis method is dis- closed, in which several samples are passed in succession through a reaction channel (16) to a detec- tor (17), and at least one reagent is introduced into the reaction chan- nel (16) for reaction with the sam- ples. An apparatus for implement- ing the method is also disclosed. Using the method and the appa- ratus, it is intended to specify an analysis method more capable of coping with different flow char- acteristics of the samples in fluid form. For that purpose, each sam- ple and its associated reagent is introduced in a controlled manner into the reaction channel so that they form a block, along the length of which the local volume ratio be- tween sample and reagent, aver- aged over a segment of predeter- mined length, is substantially con- stant, the length of the segment be- ing substantially shorter than half the length of the block.

On décrit un procédé et un appareil d'analyse avec lesquels on fait successivement passer plusieurs échantillons de fluide par une colonne de réaction (16), en direction d'un détecteur (17), et on introduit au moins un réactif dans cette colonne pour qu'il réagisse avec les échantillons. Avec ce procédé et cet appareil, on vise à définir une analyse qui permet de mieux tenir compte des différentes caractéristiques d'écoulement propres aux échantillons de fluides. A cette fin, on introduit chaque échantillon et son réactif associé, de façon modulée, dans la colonne de réaction de façon qu'ils forment un ensemble. Tout au long de celui-ci, le rapport du volume local de l'échantillon au réactif, moyenné sur un segment à longueur prédéterminée, est pratiquement constant et la longueur de ce segment est nettement inférieure à la moitié de la longueur de l'ensemble.
