A method for use in evaluating performance of a POS installation including a plurality POS stations (POS1, POS2, POS3, POS4) connected via respective lines (12, 14, 16 and 18) each station being clerk operated and providing POS station transaction data is inclusive of steps of providing video cameras (VCA, VCB, VCC and VCD) video indicative of activity at the POS stations and providing first recorder(s) (1) for recording the video and the transaction data, establishing statistical rules from processor and controller (28) for analyzing the recorded POS transaction data and applying first analysis rules to transaction data provided by the POS stations to provide selected transaction data and recording the selected transaction data and video corresponding thereto in a second recorder connected by line (40) in a succession according with another analysis rule. The first analysis rules provide for discarding transaction data in accordance with its relationship with statistical parameters and the other analysis rule provides for recognizing statistical abnormalities computed per the first analysis rule and the recording may be a succession commencing with the most abnormal transaction and proceeding to the least abnormal.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour évaluer la performance d'une installation à points de vente (POS) comprenant une pluralité de postes de points de vente (POS1, POS2, POS3, POS4) connectés par des lignes respectives (12, 14, 16 et 18), chaque poste étant géré par un employé et fournissant des données relatives aux transactions aux POS. Ce procédé consiste à prévoir des caméras vidéo (VCA, VCB, VCC et VCD), fournissant des informations vidéo sur l'activité aux postes POS, à prévoir des premiers enregistreurs (1) pour enregistrer les données vidéo et les données de transaction, à établir des règles statistiques avec un appareil (28) de traitement et de commande des données, pour analyser les données des transactions enregistrées par les POS, à appliquer la première règle d'analyse aux données de transactions fournies par les postes POS pour produire des données de transaction choisies et à enregistrer les données des transactions et les données vidéo choisies correspondantes dans un second enregistreur, connecté par la ligne (40), suivant une succession conforme à une autre règle d'analyse. La première règle d'analyse permet d'écarter les données des transactions en fonction de leur relation avec des paramètres statistiques et l'autre règle d'analyse permet d'identifier les anomalies statistiques calculées selon la première règle d'analyse. L'enregistrement peut être une succession commençant avec la transaction la plus anormale et continuant jusqu'à la transaction la moins anormale.
