For connecting the end of a first blood vessel (6) to the side of a second blood vessel, which preferably has a greater diameter than the first blood vessel, use is made of a sleeve (11, 11') whose one end portion (12, 12') is expandable for the forming of an annular end flange (15, 15'). As a result, the first blood vessel (6), after being passed through the sleeve (11, 11') in the direction of the expandable end portion and folding back at least over the expandable end portion, is formable into a collar, both sides of which enclose the annular end flange inside the second blood vessel and internally surround an opening formed therein.
De façon à relier l'extrémité d'un premier vaisseau sanguin (6) à la paroi d'un second vaisseau sanguin, qui possède de préférence un diamètre supérieur à celui du premier vaisseau sanguin, on utilise une gaine (11, 11') dont une extrémité (12, 12') est extensible et peut former une bride d'extrémité annulaire (15, 15'). De ce fait, après qu'on lui ait fait traverser la gaine (11, 11') en direction de l'extrémité extensible et qu'on l'ait replié au moins sur l'extrémité extensible, le premier vaisseau sanguin (6) peut prendre la forme d'une collerette dont les deux côtés enferment la bride d'extrémité annulaire à l'intérieur du second vaisseau et entourent de manière interne une ouverture ménagée dans ce second vaisseau.
