ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An anchorage assembly for prestressed concrete structures comprises a bearing plate having a plurality of open- ings lying parallel to the central longitudinal axis of the assembly, each opening having a frusto-conical portion and a cylindrical portion in continuation thereof to receive a stranded stressing element. A multi-part wedge device is positioned between the wall of each opening and its co-acting stressing element and, at least some of the openings are spaced from the longitudinal axis of the assembly so that the stressing elements co-acting therewith are caused to deviate towards the longitudinal axis of the assembly and relative to the axis of the openings. The leading or narrow end of each wedge device extends into the cylindrical portion of its co-acting opening so that, due to the deviation of the co-acting stressing element, a portion of the wall of the leading end is deformed in a direction towards the longitudinal axis of the assembly and provides a gradual change in direction of the stressing element, which avoids undue stress of the latter.
