ABSTRACT An anchoring device for posts for fences, guard- rails, tents, garden greenhouses etc. comprises a sleeve (1) which is fluted on its inner side and provided at its bottom with two intersecting arms forming stop means (2) for the bottom end of the post upon insertion in the sleeve (1). Furthermore, the sleeve (1) has at its bottom end a cylindrical wall (3) formed with downwardly facing serrations (4) to facilitate rotation of the sleeve into the ground. An anchoring member (7) detachably fixed in said sleeve (1) is bored into the ground for anchoring of said anchoring device to- gether with said cylindrical wall (3).
