Spinal anchoring methods and devices are provided that are effective to correct spinal deformities while allowing some flexibility to the spinal. In particular, the methods and devices allow a spinal fixation element to mate to several adjacent vertebrae to maintain the vertebrae at a fixed distance relative to one another, yet to allow the orientation of each vertebrae relative to the fixation element to adjust as the orientation of the patient~s spine changes.

L'invention concerne des procédés et dispositifs d'ancrage de la colonne vertébrale, efficaces pour corriger des malformations de la colonne vertébrale tout en procurant une certaine flexibilité à la colonne vertébrale. En particulier, ces procédés et dispositifs permettent à un élément de fixation de la colonne vertébrale de s'accoupler à plusieurs vertèbres adjacentes de façon à maintenir les vertèbres à une distance fixe les unes des autres, tout en permettant l'orientation de chaque vertèbre par rapport à l'élément de fixation pour un ajustement à mesure que l'orientation de la colonne vertébrale du patient varie.
