The invention concerns ancillary equipment for preparing the setting of a knee prosthesis, characterised in that it comprises a plate (6) not thicker than a tibial plate of the knee prosthesis, and to which is fixed a rod (8) along an inclination suitable for obtaining a femoral interval orthogonal to the mechanical axis of the lower member; this plate is provided with a block of variable thickness, and is designed to be urged to rest on a tibial cutting plane (4) after insertion of its rod in the medullary canal of the thigh bone to obtain ligamentary equilibrium and for the ulterior lengthwise and flectional adjustment of the spaces between the proximal cut of the tibia (3) and the distal and posterior cuts of the thigh bone (2); this ancillary equipment eliminates the need for a femoral cut to obtain ligamentary equilibrium, and enables the cutting of the distal end of the thigh bone with a single cut.
Ancillaire pour la préparation de la pose d'une prothèse de genou, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend une plaque (6) ayant une épaisseur au plus égale à celle d'un plateau tibial de la prothèse de genou, et à laquelle est fixée une tige (8) suivant une inclinaison appropriée pour permettre l'obtention d'un interligne fémoral orthogonal à l'axe mécanique du membre inférieur; cette plaque est pourvue d'une câle d'épaisseur variable, et est destinée à venir prendre appui sur un plan de coupe tibial (4) après insertion de sa tige dans le canal médullaire du fémur afin de permettre l'obtention d'un équilibre ligamentaire et en vue d'un réglage ultérieur des écarts en extension et en flexion entre la coupe proximale du tibia (3) et les coupes distales et postérieure du fémur (2); ce matériel ancillaire évite de devoir pratiquer une coupe fémorale pour obtenir l'équilibre ligamentaire, et permet la coupe de l'exrémité distale du fémur par une coupe unique.
