ANGIOTENSIN ANTAGONISTS Abstract of the Disclosure New octapeptides having profound angiotensin antagonist properties have been found. The new compounds resemble angiotensin II except for the two terminal amino acids, carrying unnatural amino acids at the N-terminus. The N-terminal amino acid (aspartic acid) is absent, while the C-terminus is occupied by dimethylglycine, N-methyl- isoleucine, guanidylacetic acid and sarcosine.
