ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to new angiotensin II peptides having the general formula I Y-Arg-Val-Tyr-Ile-His-Pro-Y (I) wherein X is a radical derived from an aliphatic .alpha.-hydroxy- carboxylic acid and Y stands for a radical derived from an aliphatic .alpha.-amino-carboxylic acid, and pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts and complexes thereof. The invention also extends to a process for preparing the novel compounds. The compounds display antagonistic properties.
