The invention relates to a novel apparatus for delivering a light source, infusion source or surgical instrument to the interior of a closed chamber. The invention finds applications in the performance of a vitrectomy in which three probes or cannulae are introduced into the human eye, via tiny incisions, for the removal of part or the whole of the vitreous body (a gelatinous substance that fills the posterior aspect of the eye globe) and its replacement with an appropriate substitute. The apparatus includes an angled hollow cannula with a mobile winged flange which is used to secure the cannula in place. A light source or infusion fluid is passed through the cannula tubing, through the angled cannula tip and then into the eye.
