In a traditional hitched trailer there is no way to adjust the ride height of the trailer. Provided is an angular adjusting mechanism (13) for a suspension system (10) comprising a shaft (12) and a crank arm (20), the shaft (12) having a connecting end (14) connected to the crank arm (20), said angular adjusting mechanism (13) comprising a frusto-comcal shaped surface (16) provided on the connecting end (14) and pointing outwardly from said shaft (12), said surface (16) having an array of first cavities (18) arranged circumferentially, a frusto-comcal bore (22) proximate a first extremity of said crank arm (20), said bore (22) having an array of second cavities (24), said bore (22) being operative to mate with said surface (16) of said connecting end (14), and an interlocking element (30) partly positioned in one of said second cavities (24) and partly positioned in one of said first cavities (18) so as to lock said crank arm (20) at a predetermined angular position with respect to said shaft (12). Also, an improved torsion suspension system (10) including the above mentioned angular adjusting mechanism (13) is provided.

Dans une caravane attelée traditionnelle il n'y a pas de moyen d'ajuster la hauteur sur route de la caravane. L'invention qui y palie porte sur un mécanisme de réglage angulaire (13) de système de suspension (10) comportant un arbre (12) et un bras de manivelle) (20), l'arbre (12) présentant une extrémité de raccordement (14) connecté au bras de manivelle (20). Ledit mécanisme de réglage angulaire (13) comporte: une surface conique (16) usinée sur l'extrémité de raccordement (14) et dirigée vers l'extérieur depuis ledit arbre (12), ladite surface (16) présentant un ensemble de premières cavités (18) à sa circonférence; un alésage conique (22) proche d'une première extrémité de bras de manivelle (20), présentant un ensemble de deuxièmes cavités (24), et étant conçu pour s'adapter à surface (16) de l'extrémité de raccordement (14): et un élément d'attelage (30) en partie placé dans une desdites deuxièmes cavités (24) et en partie placé dans une desdites premières cavités (18) de manière à bloquer ledit le bras de manivelle) (20) dans une position angulaire par rapport audit arbre (12). L'invention porte également sur un système de suspension à barre de torsion améliorée (10) comprenant le susdit le mécanisme de réglage angulaire (13).
