This application concerns a distributor for agricultural chemicals and in particular a manifold used in distributors of anhydrous ammonia. The manifold comprises a housing having an axially aligned inlet port and several radially arranged outlet ports. The outlet ports have equal angular separation around the periphery of the housing. A rotatable distributor is arranged within the housing, and a passage is provided through the rotatable distributor. The passage extends from an entry port communicating with the inlet port of the housing, to a delivery port which communicates with each outlet port in turn as the rotor rotates about the axis. The arrangement is such that, in use, the rotatable distributor has sufficient rotational momentum to enable it to behave like a flywheel, so that its rotational velocity remains substantially constant irrespective of the volumetric proportions of liquid to vapour at the entry port.
La présente invention vise un distributeur de produits chimiques, et plus particulièrement un distributeur d'ammoniac anhydre. L'appareil est constitué d'un enveloppe à orifice d'entrée disposé dans le sens axial et à plusieurs orifices de décharge disposés dans le sens radial, à égale distance l'un de l'autre sur tout le pourtour de l'enveloppe, et d'un distributeur rotatif monté à l'intérieur de l'enveloppe. Le distributeur comporte un passage qui se prolonge d'un orifice d'admission communiquant avec l'orifice d'entrée de l'enveloppe jusqu'à un orifice de sortie communiquant avec chacun des orifices de décharge de l'enveloppe, à tour de rôle au fur et à mesure que le rotor tourne autour de l'axe. Le montage est tel que lorsque l'appareil est utilisé, le moment rotatif est suffisant pour permettre au distributeur de fonctionner tel un volant d'inertie et de maintenir une vitesse à peu près constante, quelle que soit la proportion (en volume) liquide - gaz à l'orifice d'admission.
