An anhydrous zinc antimonate sol comprising a surface-modified anhydrous zinc antimonate colloid particles dispersed in a liquid, the surface-modified anhydrous zinc antimonate colloid particles comprising anhydrous zinc antimonate colloid particles as nuclei and a silicon-containing substance coating surfaces of the colloid particles, the sol containing an amine and/or an hydroxycarboxylic acid and a method for producing the same. The anhydrous zinc antimonate sol of the present invention is useful as transparent antistatic materials for resins, plastics, glasses, paper, and magnetic tapes, etc., transparent ultraviolet absorbents, transparent heat wave absorbents, high refractive index hard coating agents, antireflective agents, and the like.

Divulgation d'une sol de zinc antimonique anhydre comprenant des particules colloïdales de zinc antimonique anhydre à surface modifiée, dispersées dans un liquide, les particules colloïdales de zinc antimonique anhydre à surface modifiée étant constituées d'un noyau de particules colloïdales de zinc antimonique anhydre recouvert d'une matière siliciée. La sol contient une amine et/ou un acide hydroxycarboxylique. On divulgue aussi une méthode pour produire cette sol. Cette sol de zinc antimonique anhydre est utile comme matière transparente antistatique pour les résines, les plastiques, les verres, le papier, les bandes magnétiques, les absorbants ultraviolets transparents, les absorbants thermiques transparents, les agents de revêtements durs à haut indice de réfraction, les agents antiréfléchissants et les composés similaires.
