An animal feed mixer (10) includes a housing(12) forming first (24) and. second c (26) hambers. An upper auger (42) and a lower auger (44) are mounted in one of the chambers and a rotor (46) is mounted in the other of the chambers. The rotor includes a plurality of arm assemblies (70) that are staggered with respect to one another, that overlap one another in length, and that have paddles (80) affixed to the outer ends of radially extending arms (74).
