A model animal of mesangial cell proliferative nephritis obtained from a megsin transgenic animal. A transgenic mouse constructed by using a megsin gene exhibits typical symptoms of mesangial cell proliferative nephritis associated by the enlargement of the mesangial base region, the sedimentation of an immune complex and an increase in mesangial cells. This model animal of mesangial cell proliferative nephritis is useful in analyzing the pathological conditions of chronic glomerular diseases and screening remedies therefor.
Cette invention concerne un modèle animal pour néphrite proliférative à cellules mésangiales obtenu à partir d'un animal transgénique megsine. Une souris transgénique obtenue à partir d'un gène megsine présente les symptômes caractéristiques d'une néphrite proliférative à cellules mésangiales associée à une augmentation de la région de base mésangiale, la sédimentation du complexe immun et une augmentation des cellules mésangiales. Ce modèle animal de néphrite proliférative à cellules mésangiales convient pour l'analyse des caractéristiques de pathologies glomérulaires et pour le criblage de remèdes pour ces pathologies.
