An animal shunning device for imparting high voltage, low current energy to, for example, an animal. The device includes an elongated staff (10) housing metal prongs (14) within a sleeve (12) that slidably reveals the prongs in response to an application of force from a target animal. An energy source coupled to the prongs is enabled after the sleeve slides a predetermined distance of the staff, thereby delivering energy to the animal via the prongs.

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'étourdissement d'un animal, destiné à soumettre un animal par exemple, à une énergie haute tension de faible intensité. Ledit dispositif comporte une tige allongée (10) renfermant des broches métalliques (14) dans un manchon (12) libérant lesdites broches de manière coulissante en réponse à une force appliquée par un animal cible. Une source d'énergie couplée aux broches est actionnée lorsque le manchon a coulissé sur une distance prédéterminée de la tige, soumettant ainsi l'animal à une énergie au moyen des broches.
