The invention contemplates anisometrically shaped carbon-containing particles for use as the particles of a liquid light valve suspension, films and light valves. The anisometric carbon- containing particles are crystalline or amorphous particles and can have various geometrical shapes including, for example, fibrils. The above object is achieved by carefully controlling the size and shape of such particles.
La présente invention concerne des particules de forme anisométrique contenant du carbone, utilisées dans une suspension liquide de modulateur de lumière, dans des films et des modulateurs de lumière. Ces particules anisométriques contenant du carbone sont des particules amorphes et cristallines et peuvent présenter diverses formes géométriques, notamment par exemple des formes de fibrilles. On réalise l'objet de cette invention en contrôlant minutieusement le calibre et la forme de ces particules.
