Une chambre gonflable est placée à l'intérieur d'un corps d'appui extérieur et sa paroi extérieur est tenue plaquée contre ce dernier par des plaques et des tiges de traction, de sorte que la paroi intérieure a sensiblement le même diamiètre quand la chambre est à la pression atmosphérique et quand elle est à la pression maximum de compression d'un corps contre lequel cette paroi intérieure est appliquée.
