An anode structure for incorporation into a fuel cell is disclosed. The anode structure comprises a first region comprising one or more electrocatalysts, wherein the first region will be adjacent to the fuel inlet when the anode structure is incorporated into a fuel cell, and a second region comprising one or more electrocatalysts, wherein the second region will be adjacent to the fuel outlet when the anode structure is incorporated into a fuel cell. The first region is better at promoting the electrochemical oxidation of carbon monoxide than the second region.

L'invention concerne une structure d'anode destinée à être intégrée dans une pile à combustible. La structure d'anode comprend une première région comportant un ou plusieurs électrocatalyseurs, la première région est adjacente à l'entrée de combustible lorsque la structure d'anode est placée dans une pile à combustible, et une seconde région comprenant un ou plusieurs électrocatalyseurs, la seconde région étant adjacente à la sortie de combustible lorsque la structure d'anode est placée dans une pile à combustible.
