Antacid pharmaceutical compositions provide optimal buffering profiles of from 3.0 to 5.0 for immediate and long-lasting relief from the symptoms of acid indigestion, sour stomach, heartburn and gas. The composition may comprise a dual or tripartite combination of the actives calcium carbonate, calcium or magnesium citrate and/or calcium phosphate which, as a result of their different activities, neutralize the excess stomach acid both immediately and continuously over time. The formulations also provide the individual with alternative dosage forms which may provide greater levels of calcium, less sodium and less production of gastrointestinal gas.
Compositions phamaceutiques antiacides dont les profils de tamponnage optimum se situent entre 3,0 et 5,0, utilisées pour soulager immédiatement et pendant une longue durée les symptômes de l'indigestion acide, de l'acidité stomacale, des brûlures gastriques et des gaz. Cette composition peut être formée d'une combinaision de deux ou trois substances actives telles que le carbonate de calcium, le citrate de calcium ou de magnésium et/ou le phosphate de calcium, qui, en raison de leurs activités différentes neutralisent le surplus d'acide stomacal de manière immédiate et continue dans le temps. Ces formulations se présentent sous diverses formes posologiques qui assurent aux individus des taux supérieurs de calcium, apportent moins de sodium et produisent moins de gaz gastro-intestinaux.
