ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There are disclosed now angiotensin II analogues of the general formula I Image (I) wherein X is a radical derived from an aliphatic .alpha.-aminooxy carboxylic acid and Y stands for a radical derived from an aliphatic .alpha.-amino-carboxylic acid, and acid addition salts and complexes thereof. The new compounds possess antagonistic properties and find their application in the diagnosis and treatment of hypertensions depending on renin.
