Antenna for sending and receiving microwave radiation, e.g. for use in a transponder in a transponder system for wireless payment of tolls, or the like. It has an excited antenna element (13) placed on a dielectric antenna carrier or substratum (11), e.g. on a printed circuit board laminate with a copper covered plastic basis suitable for manufacturing of so-called printed circuits. To increase the performance of the antenna for high production rates with cheap materials, the antenna element is placed such that it gets a directional effect mainly perpendicular to a bearing plane (12) of the substratum (11).
L'invention concerne une antenne servant à envoyer et recevoir des rayonnements électromagnétiques (qu'on utilise, par exemple, dans un transpondeur d'un système transpondeur destiné au paiement sans fil de péage ou analogue). L'antenne de l'invention comporte un élément rayonnant (13) placé sur un support d'antenne diélectrique ou substrat (11) (par exemple sur un laminé d'une carte à circuits imprimés muni d'une base en plastique recouverte de cuivre approprié pour la fabrication desdits circuits imprimés). Pour augmenter la performance de l'antenne et obtenir des taux de rendement élevés avec des matériaux bon marché, l'élément rayonnant est disposé de manière à produire un effet directionnel sensiblement perpendiculaire au plan de base (12) du substrat (11).
