ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A shield assembly for a hand-held cellular communica- tion apparatus, involving a passive electromagnetic reflector which partially surrounds the antenna of the communication apparatus. The assembly serves to shield the head and body of the person using the hand-held cellular communication apparatus from the possibly harmful effects of the electromagnetic radiation emanating from the antenna when the communication apparatus is transmitting.
