ABSTRACT A transmission system having a central station for transmitting digital data over an existing antenna wire sys- tem within a building to at least one remote station is disclosed having an address and control generator at the central station for generating digital address and control information, a modem for connecting the address and control generator to the antenna wire system for supplying to the system the address and control information, a similar modem at the remote station for connection to the antenna wire system, an address matcher connected to the modem at the remote station for comparing the address generated by the address and control generator to an address pre-established for the remote station, and a load controller connected to the address matcher and made responsive to the control information when there is a match between the address transmitted by the address and control generator and the pre-established address.
