An RFID reader/writer performs a radio communication with an RFID tag. An antenna for tag communication used in the RFID reader/writer is a beam scanning antenna that can perform scanning with the beam of a transmitted radio wave. The beam has a high directivity in a certain scanning direction. The scanning with the beam is performed so that a plane including the certain scanning direction intersects with a floor surface as a reflecting surface on which the strongest reflected wave is generated.

Un lecteur/scripteur RFID effectue une radiocommunication avec une étiquette d'identification par radiofréquence. Une antenne permettant une communication d'étiquette utilisée dans le lecteur/scripteur RFID est une antenne de balayage de faisceau qui peut exécuter un balayage avec le faisceau d'une onde radioélectrique transmise. Le faisceau comprend une directivité élevée dans une direction de balayage particulière. Le balayage avec le faisceau est effectué de façon qu'un plan comprenant la direction de balayage particulière croise une surface de plancher comme une surface réfléchissante sur laquelle est générée l'onde réfléchie la plus robuste.
