TITLE OF INVENTION New anthracycline derivatives and processes for the production thereof ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE As the new compounds are now provided 14-0-alkanoic acid esters of 7-0-(2,6-dideoxy-2-fluoro-.alpha.-L-talopyranosyl) adriamycinone, which are useful as antitumor agent and which are improved in their solubility in water and antitumor activity, as compared to 7-0-(2,6-dideoxy-2- fluoro-.alpha.-L-talopyranosyl)adriamycinone. Pharmaceutical antitumor composition comprising the new compound as above, and also processes of producing the same compound are provided, too.
