Abstract of the disclosure The invention relates to new anthracycline derivatives having cytostatic activity and the general formula I Image wherein R1 is a CH3(CH2)n group with n = 0 to 3, R2 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R3 is a hydrogen atom, a methyl group or an acyl protective group, and R4 is a hydrogen atom or an acyl protective group, and which are optionally in the form of a salt of an inorganic or organic acid, to a process for their prepara- tion and to their use in pharmaceuticals.
