AN ANTI-ABRASIVE PARTITION, A SHIPPING CONTAINER FORMED THEREWITH AND METHODS Abstract of the Disclosure Novel anti-abrasive partitions comprising facing webs of spunbonded olefin fabrics, such as spunbonded polypropylene fabrics, affixed to reinforcing substrates, such as paperboard, linerboard or chipboard, are disclosed. The novel anti-abrasive partitions are suitable for forming anti-abrasive partition assemblies for use with shipping containers. Because the novel partitions are anti-abrasive, they are especially suited for packaging and shipping highly polished or abrasion-sensitive articles, such as automotive and appliance high gloss black water cosmetic finish parts. Moreover, because the novel anti-abrasive partitions do not shed particulate matter during packaging and shipment, the articles packaged in containers having such anti-abrasive partitions do not have to be subsequently wiped down by hand to remove contamination caused by particulate residue migrating therefrom.
