A remedy for cancer obtained from a different viewpoint from the viewpoints employed in developing the existing anticancer drugs, i.e., focusing on the intercellular adhesion of cancer cells. Namely, provided is a remedy for cancer with fewer side effects which inhibits the proliferation of cancer cells and the intercellular adhesion of cancer cells. Also provided is an antibody, which recognizes the disintegrin domain of ADAM-15 and is usable as an anticancer agent, and so on. An antibody, which recognizes the disintegrin domain of ADAM-15 but does not recognize the RGD sequence or loop region in the disintegrin domain of ADAM-15, and so on; an antibody, which inhibits ADAM-15 and integrin .alpha.v.beta.3-dependent cell adhesion, and so on; and an antibody, which inhibits ADAM-15 and integrin .alpha.v.beta.1-dependent cell adhesion, and so on.
Cette invention concerne un remède contre le cancer obtenu sous un angle différent de celui utilisé pour développer les médicaments antitumoraux existants (concentration sur l'adhésion intercellulaire des cellules cancéreuses). Cette invention concerne un remède contre le cancer produisant moins d'effets secondaires, qui inhibe la prolifération des cellules cancéreuses et l'adhésion intercellulaire des cellules cancéreuses. L'invention concerne également un anticorps qui reconnaît le domaine disintégrine ADAM-15 et qui peut, notamment, être utilisé en tant qu'agent antitumoral ; un anticorps qui reconnaît, notamment, le domaine disintégrine ADAM-15 mais pas la séquence RGD ou la zone en boucle du domaine disintégrine ADAM-15 ; un anticorps qui inhibe, notamment, l'adhésion cellulaire tributaire de l'intégrine avß3 et d'ADAM-15 ; et un anticorps qui inhibe, notamment, l'adhésion cellulaire tributaire de l'intégrine a9ß1 et d'ADAM-15.
