ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: This invention is concerned with novel pyrimido-/ 2,1-b/ benzothiazoles of formula I Image (I) wherein R and R3, which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom or a straight-chained or branched C1-6 alkyl group or together with the intervening carbon atom represent a C3 6 cycloalkyl group; R1 represents a C7-12 straight-chained, branched or cyclic alkoxy group; and R2 represents a hydrogen atom, a straight-chained or branched C1-6 alkyl group, a C2-7 alkoxycarbonyl group, a C3-6 cyclo- alkyl group, an aralkyl group, an aryl group (unsubstituted or substituted by one or more halogen atoms or C1-6 alkyl, C1-6 alkoxy or nitro groups) or a heteroaryl group, and its pharmaceutically acceptable salts. These novel com- pounds of formula I and their salts exhibit remarkable pharmacological properties especially anti-allergic pro- perties.
